Method

• Quantification of the profit lost, by size within one category from missed sales in selling out of key sizes early and markdowns incurred from overbuying the wrong sizes

• Measurements taken in the 1st 4 weeks of each product's lifecycle and tracked over Quarter 3 vs Quarter 4 within the same category

• Markdowns assumed at an average rate of 35%
